There are three types of burial at sea services offered by Newport Landing including attended burial at sea service, a viewing from shore service, and an unattended burial at sea service

		Attended burial service is a popular option which allows both individuals and groups of up to a 100 people to attend the service. Typically one and half hours in length scatterings are performed from ship along Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and Huntington Beach. Ships have large reception areas and often hold wakes or celebration of life gatherings after the scattering. The ability to perform the burial at sea and have an amazing venue for a post scattering event makes for very seamless planning and ideal for those with limited budget.


		Unattended burial at sea option is ideal for those that cannot attend the burial at sea and may have a very limited budget. Locations can be selected and the burial at sea service provides a dignified resting place for loved ones. Longitude and latitude coordinates are recorded and given for future visitation of the scattering location.


		Viewing from shore burial at sea services are ideal for those attending but do not want to be present onboard during the scattering service. This choice is usually reserved for those concerned with sea sickness or for very large groups that exceed the ship's capacity. Often Newport Pier or Balboa pier are shore bound vantage points to witness the scattering. Beaches along Newport, Corona Del Mar, and Laguna are also often used as vantage points.
